Tai-Chi, also known as tai chi chuan, is translated as the "Supreme Ultimate Force" and is best thought of as a moving form of yoga and meditation. A non-competitive, self-paced gentle exercise and stretching, Tai Chi consists of a sequence of movements; each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion. Many of these movements are originally derived from the martial arts, but performed in Tai Chi they are slow, soft and graceful motions with smooth and even transitions done as a meditative exercise for the body and mind. . Tai-Chi is a healing art that can slow the aging process, improve balance, strength, memory, & flexibility as well as bring increased vitality as it lowers blood pressure. By practicing Tai-Chi, good health and tranquility of the body and mind can be achieved! Instructor: Steve Franzreb
